The BKMISD focusing on the general concern about the lag of the international community from achieving sustainable development goals, contributed to the I Central Asian Journalism Seminar dedicated to the International Day of Universal Access to Information jointy with UNAI Hub KazNU.
In connection with the UNESCO resolution of November 17, 2015 (38 C / 70), September 28 was proclaimed This International Day is of particular importance for the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, and in particular target 16.10 of the Sustainable Development Goals, which calls for public access to information and the protection of special freedoms.
In the scope of ensuring access to information for the implementation of activities in the field of sustainable development in Central Asia participants and key speakers from Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan actively discussed recent issues of ecology and tourism journalism, problems of journalistic competence and online media. The seminar included presentations of scientific articles about the current journalism activities based on SDGs by 2030.
