International cooperation

The Institute envisions supporting international activities to provide a truly international experience for students and faculty, and preparing young people to meet the challenges of the rapidly globalizing world. For example, students have the opportunity to spend one semester as an academic exchange student at our partner institutions. They also have a chance to visit partner institutions as visiting researchers or students. In additional the students have access to libraries and databases of all partner institutions and can work on joint projects together with students from different countries towards global partnership for SDGs (SDG-17).

At the end of the each academic year, the Executive Committee and International Board of Advisers will review the activities of the previous year and identify the priority areas for the next academic year. For 2018–2019, the BKMISD has selected the priority project areas as follows:

  • Smart Sustainable Cities;
  • Sustainable (Green) Energy; and
  • Global Citizenship Education (teaching and learning component).
