BKMISD.kaznu.kz hosts a working-level meeting

On September 16, 2019, a working-level meeting was held within the framework of the international conference «QS Worldwide University Ranking 2019» between the Ban Ki-moon Institute for Sustainable Development at al-Farabi KazNU (BKMISD.kaznu.kz) and the Institute for Global Engagement and Empowerment at Yonsei University (IGEE).

The meeting began with a welcoming speech by prof. Burkitbayev who is the vice-rector of al-Farabi KazNU and the functioning director of the BKMISD.kaznu.kz. He briefly introduced the institute’s successfully achieved activities in the fields of education, science and research development as well as partnership.

In turn, the leader of the IGEE Team at Yonsei University Dr. Song Dong Woo with Chang Hong Lee who is a coordinator of the Ban Ki-moon Center for Sustainable Development and Center for Social Engagement shared the activities of the IGEE reflected to the SDGs agenda.

During the discussion the IGEE representatives invited the BKMISD.kaznu.kz team to co-organize a plenary session with parallel sessions at the GEEF Seoul 2020 which is annually held on an international scale.

In particular, the BKMISD.kaznu.kz team coordinated by Issayeva J.S offered to publish the second book comprising scientific articles on the work of the SDGs and the IGEE’s academic board was also invited to take a part in this project.

During the workshop, both sides discussed the issues on further implementation of joint programs and the second edition of the scientific works.
