THE 5TH GENERAL ASSEMBLY

A meeting of the General Assembly of the University Alliance of the Silk Road (SUN) and a Parallel Session on the «Role of Universities for Transforming Silk Roads into Peace Roads with Prominent Human Heritages» was held at al-Farabi Library. Over a hundred delegates from 50 universities from 19 countries took part in its work.

At the opening ceremony of the meeting, Secretary-General of the SUN Assembly, Sandon Hwan, highlighted the importance of this meeting, since such events help build confidence and expand relations between universities and countries. Recently, nine new members from universities in Afghanistan, Poland, Uzbekistan, Korea, Dubai and Iran joined in the organization. Today, the SUN unites more than 135 universities in the world.
