Ban Ki-moon Institute for Sustainable Development at al-Farabi KazNU co-hosts the international conference

The BKMISD.kaznu.kz co-hosted the mass media forum titled “Media and media literacy” held on October 4 and 5, 2019. The event was organized in the framework of the US Embassy small grants. The seminar training was also organized in the scope of the project.

The aim of the conference was to further develop specialists’ qualification and competence, to teach students media literacy norms and to introduce them with information database control and selection of contextual news based on critical approach.

In turn, it should be noted that competent journalism plays an important role in disseminating the necessary information for the implementation of the SDGs.
