MODERNIZATION OF ENGINEERING EDUCATION IN CENTRAL ASIA

As the Global Hub of the UNAI on Sustainability, al-Farabi KazNU organized an International Conference «Modernization of Engineering Education in the Central Asian region in the context of digitalization» jointly with the Kazakhstani Association of Engineering Education (KazSEE) and the European Network for Accreditation in the Field of Engineering Education (ENAEE).

On the agenda there were workshops on «Review of international accreditation systems. Methods for ensuring the quality of engineering education» which was made by Vice President of ENAEE Jose Carlos Quadrado. Of great interest was also the presentation «Problems and Prospects for the Implementation of the Khujand Agreement in Central Asia» by the President of the Central Asian Federation of Engineering Education Communities Dr. D.K. Suleev.

Following the meeting, a decision was made, preserving the ideology of the Khujand agreement, to expand the framework of cooperation in Central Asia and to attract for this purpose various institutions and business structures dealing with accreditation.
