October 30, 2018 organized a public lecture on the topic:

Celebrating the World Cities Day: Partnership for Sustainable Development and Resilient Cities

 

Organized by the Ban Ki-moon Institute for Sustainable Development, Global Hub of United Nations Academic Impact on Sustainability, Model UN New Silk Way, “Green Bridge through Generation” Program, UNESCO Chair on Sustainability and “Alma-Mater of Journalism Club”

Hosted by the MDP Global Classroom Program

 

In Celebrating the World Cities Day the students, faculty and guest speakers will discuss the concepts of smart sustainable and resilient cities and implication for the developing countries in the Central Asian region.

They fill focus on several issues. First is the partnership between universities and public sector for sustainable Development of cities and communities (SDG11). Second is the focus on the emerging vision of relations “smart campus-smart cities” and the current and future trends in using the ICT for making cities more livable and friendly to inhabitants (SDG15). Third is the focus on innovations and social innovations in the smart sustainable and resilient cities development including social inclusion, cultural diversity (e.g. Ruhani Zhangyru) and building culture of innovation among the youth (SDG4 and SDG9)

Date:          October 30, 2018 from 5 pm to 8 pm.

Participants: graduate, doctoral and senior undergraduate students from the Law, Chemistry, Journalism, Geography, FFIP, Economics and International Relations faculties.

 

GUESTS:  we expect that the representatives of the UNIO, UNAI, MUN NSW and other guest speakers will contribute to the event.
